EDWARDIAN
18k yellow gold open face pendant watch set with a bezel set old mine
cut diamond (est. .05 ct, VS, G-1), heavily embossed with cherubs and
flowers, suspended from a watch pin of enameled griffons and a crown. The
pin is delicately enameled with a griffons and crown motif and is set with a
ruby (2.0mm purplish-red), five 2.0mm pearls, one old mine cut diamond (est.
.04 ct, VS, G-1), six old mine cut diamonds (est. weight from .01 ct to .02
ct, VS, G-1) and one
central fresh water pearl (9.0mm by 7.0mm). The watch is 1" across;
the watch pin is 1" by 1". The watch case is
engraved on the inside from a father to his daughter on Christmas,
"Margaret D. Sief, Pgh (Pittsburgh), from Father Dec. 25/1904"..
The case is marked "Swiss, A.W., K14, 127911" and a squirrel hallmark.
There are no numbers or marks on the works.

BAUER HOLIDAY JEWELRY

I spoke to Dorothy on the phone not long ago, and she gave me some
interesting information about her jewelry. she made far more than just
holiday pins! Her rhinestone pieces were sold in I. Magnums, Macys, and
other big stores. They had about 50 workers making the jewelry at their
height of production. She made rhinestones jewelry from 1982 to 2008.
Her degree was in art, and she did large blown glass sculptural pieces
originally, but moved to glass and then rhinestone jewelry.

Her rhinestone jewelry was almost always signed. Her husband Robert
worked in their jewelry business too. Their rhinestone pieces were made
using no torch, but rather low temperature irons in order to protect the
rhinestones. She used Swarovski stones, which are of such high
quality and so brilliant. In teh limited edition pieces they never
really ran 120 of any item, not that many by far she said. They just
guessed how many they might run before starting the series.

She has a dozen pieces in the Swarovski Museum. Worked with designer
Moschino and did 150,000 pieces for him. Also did
Disney, Felix the Cat, Frances Ford Coppola’s "Dracula", and jewelry for
the "NFL for Women" including logos, team names etc. Sadly her pieces
have been reproduced to be careful what you buy and from whom you buy
it.

jewelry uses semi-precious stones, but faceted and tumbled, set in in
non-precious metals.

LATR Lunch at the Ritz Christmas tree brooch with dangling gift packages and
rhinestones for extra glitter. The tree is green enamel with a 24 karat gold
finish and it is embellished elaborately with enameled red, purple and white
ornaments and garlands of clear rhinestones, all in motion, excellent condition,
signed on the back "Lunch at the Ritz" with the copyright circle, 4-1/3" by
2". It has a bail for a chain so it can also be worn as a pendant.

RADKO Christmas tree brooch with colorfully detailed enameled ornaments
in gem tone colors, each
slightly different. It is a gold tone metal setting and signed "Christopher Radko" on the back, it is 1-5/8"
tall and in excellent condition, probably from the 1980s. It comes
with it’s original red box.

brooch has red, blue, black and white enamel work with clear baguettes and
square rhinestones, a red navette feather atop his hat and pink rhinestone
cheeks. I think this was made in the 1980s. Signed "Christopher
Radko" on the back it is in excellent condition.
